blk BOATERS of South Florida is an initiative to organize opportunities to network for black boaters. Our scheduled events provide unique opportunities to connect with fellow boaters, both seasoned and new, in order to share experiences, resources, and best practices. We look forward to meeting you soon as we tune out the world and fully immerse ourselves in the wonderful world of boating, networking, and taking advantage of the many benefits offered by the salt water and the vitamin D from the sun.

BIMINI BASH 2024
(May 30 - JUNE 2, 2024)
The 2nd Annual Black Boaters BIMINI BASH has been tentatively scheduled for May 30 - June 2, 2024. The boating caravan will sail 50 miles east of South Florida, to the island of Bimini in the beautiful Caribbean nation of the Bahamas.

In 2023, we made our first journey to Bimini by boat as an organized group. This also marked the 1st time in history that a group of Black Boaters made the crossing. The Black Boaters Bimini Bash is an initiative to establish and build relationships amongst Black Boaters and to use our networking power to support the local people of Bimini.This year’s bash will begin on Thursday, May 30th, returning on Sunday June 2, 2024. (Please note that this event is private & limited to boat owning members of the Black Boaters of SOFLO and their guests)

The Bimini Bash is scheduled to depart from various South Florida inlets on Thursday, May 30, 2024. We will connect at a rendezvous spot (TBD) and then make our way to the Resorts World Bimini. The return trip is planned for Sunday, June 2nd, around noon, ensuring that participants have ample time to enjoy their weekend on the water. (Boat Owners Only)
